Lady Coffee
Charlene Coffee proudly and faithfully serves as the First Lady of Union Community Church in Concord, Ohio. She accepted the call to Union in May, 1994, with her husband, Pastor Roderick A. Coffee I.
A native of Painesville, Lady Coffee is a graduate of Thomas W. Harvey High School. She worked for Painesville City Schools for 30 years in various roles. At the time of her retirement, she made a difference by serving as a school resource teacher. In this role, Lady Coffee was able to reach many students before they were suspended or expelled for behavioral infractions. Students grew to love and respect her, as they knew she truly cared for them.
Lady Coffee has enjoyed working in many ministries over the years. She is well known for writing and directing Easter and Christmas dramas, and takes great care to accurately and passionately reenact the stories most critical to the Christian Faith. She also enjoys spending time with women in ministry and proudly mentors many women in her church and others around the Northeastern Ohio area.
Lady Coffee enjoyed an exhilarating 43.5 year marriage to the love of her life, our late Bishop Roderick A. Coffee I. They are the proud parents of four amazing children, twelve incredible grandchildren, and one outstanding great-grandchild.
